It'll end whenever we want it to end, if it's anything like CTAM then it'll get so big that it'll crash the website
I still have no faith whatsoever in PT completing CTAM in one part... when I last checked, there were over 200k posts left to go, and the website has been struggling (due to the size of the thread) ever since it got to about 500k. Why couldn't he split it into four 250k parts?!
I know what I'd do if I was the site owner... I'd do something sensible (not like TSR where a new part is required every 10k posts), but not put the entire site at risk due to a couple of large threads crashing it. Maybe 20 x 50k threads, or 10 x 100k threads would be the ideal balance between performance and visibility / convenience.

Possibly I'll see how far we get with this, then, if it looks like we'll need a new part, we'll go for it
I'm thinking of trying to reduce strain on the server - something I've noticed when we got to a certain size on CTAM (think it was about 250k - 500k when there were problems).
And remember that some of the post stamps are not going to be correct (there are some when my name is showing as anonymous, rather than linking to my profile, thus under-estimating my post count/stats etc), so the whole of CTAM (as well as every other thread on the site) needs checking

Given that we're currently at approx. 2500 posts on this thread, we've got a long way to go before we even need to think about splitting this into different parts

Well, here's another to add to the tally
Also I'm not just looking at printers now, I'm also looking at old Sky or Virgin Media boxes too, because they have hard drives in them which can be salvaged for use in a PC

Indeed
Sky is a TV system used in the UK that uses satellite signals, whereas Virgin Media is the UK's cable TV provider.
Both companies allow you to record live TV and watch it at a later date - so will contain a hard drive of some sort.
If I can get the recording boxes cheap enough, I can take the hard drives out and have a cheap way of storing more data for a PC etc.
You can never have too many computer hard drives - e.g. for backing up, additional storage space, transferring large amounts of data between PCs, etc etc.

Well good news! Since the last update, I now have:
4x 500GB hard drives from various recording boxes (including 2x hard drives from before lockdown)
1x 500GB Sky recording box en route
1x 1TB Sky recording box en route
The 1TB hard drive is going into my desktop tower PC
indeed, recording shows to watch at a later time is great, but if anything happens to the box, you lose your recordings
