Yep, sort of

It's to do with a certain printer brand having a severe design compromise, which shuts down the entire machine after a certain number of prints / head cleanings
The only way to get it officially fixed is to have it serviced, which costs more than the cost of a new machine.

I can reset the machine for about £5. Then there's having to deal with the nasty black waste ink, otherwise the machine will eventually overflow
