ok it was a wma but when i cut off certain parts it became .asf :facepalm:
asf and m4a is incompatible here...will try to upload on youtube

YouTube takes quite a long time to upload (depending on your connection) and then another length of time for processing. It depends on the file format, I use mp4 or mp3 and it's ok. Don't know about asf format.

Is it a song? If so, then uploading your YouTube would tell you (if copyrighted), though an easier way is to use an app such as Shazam or SoundHound, which will listen to what is being played and will identify the song or audio

like stock music that you can use without having to pay the owners of that music, like generic background music you can put on youtube videos so you dont get copyright claim love the song though it's very soothing
