LIDL Livarno Lux "Energy Saving" Spotlight - now listed! With 6W LED bulb [SOLD 4/28/18]

Postby spotify95 » December 18th, 2017, 4:46 pm

The LIDL Livarno Lux Energy Saving Spotlight that I recently reviewed has now been listed for sale on eBay:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253408868847

Note that it has been retrofitted with an LED bulb (rated at 6W), rather than keeping the fluorescent bulb in.

You can see the full specs on the eBay listing, as well as other related information about the fitting here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=1050. Note that the criticisms about the CFL bulb are no longer an issue, due to the replacement bulb being an LED.

Price on eBay: £16.99 plus £4.00 shipping (RM 2nd Class Signed For). Will sell directly to TBAAJ members for £14.99 (plus shipping) if transaction takes place privately (i.e. outside of eBay).

Light has now been listed on Gumtree: https://www.gumtree.com/p/outdoor-setti ... 1288475832

Full specs of the fitting, and bulb included, are in the listing.

Note that the Gumtree sale price is lower than that of eBay due to Gumtree not charging fees for basic listings.

This fitting is also listed on eBay (link in original post still works).

Update on the situation:

The listing in question has now been sold, for £14.99 including shipping.

Someone else will now get a decent fitting with a decent light bulb. And I managed to (hopefully) educate people on what turns a good light fitting into one that is a waste of materials, and that will run a light bulb for 750 hours at most...

As stated previously, there is only one type of light bulb that should be used for household and exterior illumination. And that type of light bulb is LED based.
