Kidz Bop?

After watching a Musical Autopsy on a song that almost made the 10 Worst Songs of 2016, I found out that a group called "Kidz Bop" had made a cover of it and I had to go and check it out...

The cover of the song is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GEUQ9zlQsDk and surprisingly, it actually sounds better than the original that John Bellion released - being more radio friendly and also being less repetitive.

I've just noticed that they also have a Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/kidzbop which has other songs on it - and surprisingly, all of the songs are viewable worldwide if used on your own videos.
Even songs that would otherwise take down a video (such as DNCE - Cake By The Ocean) are perfectly viewable with no restrictions if the Kidz Bop version is used.

I'll have to listen to some of their other stuff, to see if the rest of their music output is any good, but from what I have found out so far, these songs could definitely be used in future speaker test videos (especially if it means using a song that would otherwise take down a video).

Happy Listening!

Edit: Their music is available at http://bit.ly/kbyoutube and also at http://bit.ly/kbspotify.

Great you've found something in music you fully agree with. :yep:

Yep, and their music actually sounds decent! I think I'll be subbing to them, adding their songs to a Spotify playlist (they're on spotify!) and using some of those songs on future tests - as I know I'll be safe without losing the video, or have it blocked in 244 countries, or something else like that.
(I still don't forgive Taylor Swift for making me have to re-do a FM Radio Test, as well as the worst song of 2015.)

Update:

Just found that Kidz Bop actually do a decent version of the song "2U", which was originally performed by David Guetta/Justin Bieber.

See here:

Not that bad, especially if you like the song but aren't a fan of Bieber!

Yay, they've only gone and done it again!

The song in question: "No Promises" (originally done by Cheat Codes/Demi Lovato).

Kidz Bop Version:

In my opinion, they've scored again, outperforming the original (which was already pretty decent). Thank you!

Can we throw confetti at them as a former of appreciation? :)

Well, I've just seen an advert on the TV for the new Kidz Bop Summer 2018 album :p Fancy buying it as a gift, or getting a Spotify playlist with their music on it? :)

They certainly can have confetti, regarding the No Promises song - or whatever else kids tend to have nowadays. I don't know. It's been a good 15 years since I was young enough to be a "Kidz Bop" kid :D
